FOREWORD and BE WARNED
My Hope is by the last page of this book, you will have become a disciple of Jesus the Christ. That like the 12 disciples, your only requirement is that you spend time with Jesus, listen to His words and receive God’s Holy Spirit.
The disciples watched as Jesus healed the sick, created new fingers for mangled hands and blue eyes where there once was none. And seeing these miracles with their own eyes, they paid closer attention to His words concerning the Kingdom of God. That after witnessing these things, the disciples could not help but believe that God had taken on a body, was walking with them on the face of the earth, that the God of all Creation was looking into their eyes, speaking to them with His own words—and telling them the most important things for them to know in the entire world.
This may be for some hard to believe, and for others it goes too far—and a match would be best for the rest. But when you do read this, please close your eyes for a moment and allow God to enter—then open and begin.
Be patient. It is written as it came, researched to bring to light the seemingly obvious and obscure. And written whimsically to move things along where needed.
Please read everything. If you skip the words of the Gospel, none of this will make any sense to you. This book is written as history and to explain things simply and at times personally. Sometimes It is Jesus (J) speaking directly to you. Other times it’s the disciples (D). But just let it flow. There are things written here that will not fit with what you and I have come to believe for most of our lives. But read and disagree, and in the end may we all love and forgive each other, doing God’s will on earth, as it is in heaven.
May I add something important, that before you get too far along into reading this book, it would be helpful to read the Gospel of John in the New Testament. To have an open mind and awareness of John’s prolific use of the word “light”. Because as you will discover, I have found the light of God to be essential for our survival in this modern world.
It’s not new age revelation, but simply God and all of His glory, and all of His forgiveness, and all of His love for you and me. And while you and I can’t see it with our own eyes, the Spirit of God is waiting to be received. At times an invitation will be made for you to receive God’s light, just as you would receive communion—the body and blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins
May you discover things you did not know before, and come to a clear understanding of Jesus’s mission for you and me. That we can be as close to God—as we are willing to surrender ourselves to Him.
Enjoy
